Pharmacy Automation is a system that replaces drawers and shelves with a robot, which considerably reduces the need for storage space. The drugs are put into the robot, and using its mechanical arm it organises them on the shelves in a way that uses as little interior space as possible.
When it is necessary to administer a drug, all the pharmacy staff have to do is type the name of the medication into the software, and the robot automatically finds the medication and passes it through different transport systems (conveyor belts, ramps, spirals, direct outputs, etc.) to where the customer is located.
Thanks to this new system, now the pharmacist never has to leave the counter or the patient, therefore being able to offer a higher quality of pharmaceutical care.
